Girls in ICT Day is a global event, a brain child of the International Telecommunication Union, ITU, and an initiative backed by ITU member states through resolution 70 (Rev. Busan, 2014). Stakeholders in the ICT and ICT sub-sector organize events on this day to celebrate girls’ interest and strength in Information and Communications Technologies, ICT, and to encourage them to choose careers in these fields.

Digital Peers International, Management and Staff of Nigerian Communications Satellite, NIGCOMSAT, celebrated the GICT Day 2017 with about 50 school girls and teachers NIGCOMSAT complex, Abuja.
