Once again, activities within the Nigerian IT space reached a crescendo with the start of the annual eNigeria Conference orgainised by NITDA. This years edition is centered around “Fostering Digital Economy Through Local Content Development and Effective Regulations”. Like in the manner serious犀利士
and strategic events in Nigeria, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria was on hand to officially flag off proceedings.
The President in his speech highlighted government’s achievements in curbing waste and in the anti corruption fight, successes which he credited to ICT, also the President did put emphasis on the need to address youth unemployment with ICT, he challenged the organisers on the outcome of deliberations at the conference. Also presents at the conference was the Minister of Communications, NITDA DG, presidential aides, members of civil society, members of the diplomatic corp and tech start ups.
Digital Peers International, for many years a critical stakeholder in the area of ICT capacity development especially with vulnerable groups was present at the flag off. Our goal is to showcase our activities to the world and to be on the cutting edge of technology development in Nigeria.
