DIGITEST is DPI’s flagship programme which has run annually for 16 years in various states across all Nigeria’s geo-political zones and in some countries around the world. It is an IT-based creative camp and competition for children, ages 8-18 years. Since inception in year 2000, a theme is selected for the program, with the aim of proffering solution to specific issues concerning the nation. This year, the theme for DIGITEST 2017 is – Powering Profitable Solutions. The camp will be hosted in Lagos State, Nigeria from August 11, to August 19, 2017.

Objective: To set up a clearing-house where smart, upcoming children and youth in the IT world will present their ready-made solutions and ideas to investors who need and will take steps to acquire them.

The IT camp will run in two phases for 8 days as explained below;

Phase 1: Development Camp – For the first four days on camp, all idea owners will get their projects fully equipped for presentation to investors in the business and IT world. Additional events lined up for this phase include; career seminars, training for start-ups, mentoring sessions. All of these will help equip participants for the fair.

Phase 2: Closing Fair – The Fair, which is the high point of this year’s event, will bring both idea owners and investors to a platform where the ideas will be presented to those who need them. Investors and idea owners can at this point begin negotiations on turning the ideas to specific products.

Extra-curricular activities – It is our culture at DIGITEST to uphold moral standards. We also ensure a balanced academic, business and social life in order to keep participants in the right frame for work. To achieve this, other compulsory components of the camp will include the following; morning devotion/drills, sports, dinner with dignitaries and cultural night.

A hybrid of tech-enthusiast (youth and students in secondary schools) within ages 13-25 years will work individually or as a team with the coordination of DPI’s experienced volunteers and facilitators to ensure that investors are presented with excellent choices of ideas to buy. Participants who fall in this category should register for DIGITEST 2017 on

The camp will be an innovation camp with minimal/no training, but with strict supervision. The theme “Powering Profitable Solutions” and the directions in the camp will guide the focus of every participant in creating marketable solutions that investors are looking for. Projects to be featured can be in the areas of software design and development, website design, mobile services, video editing and media productions and more.

DIGITEST 2017 is a complete shift from the norm. The aim is for buyers and sellers of ideas to meet, interact, exchange ideas and effectively get to turn these ideas to products and services for profitability. Digital Peers International, through DIGITEST 2017 and with the support of current and prospective partners, sponsors and investors, will provide the viable platform where gainful solutions will be driven.
